Update: Late Summer 2013
It’s been a while since we posted an update. Rest assured there’s been plenty going on!
Beta Batch Build
The beta batch build is underway! S/N 001 has been completed, thoroughly tested, and is ready to be shipped out this week! S/N 002 is 90% complete, and will be completed by the end of this week. We hope to have all 10 units completed and shipped in the next couple of weeks.
To recap, these 10 printers will be going out to some carefully selected beta testers. We’ll be using them to test reliability and performance in multiple use cases, and get their input on what they like, and what could be improved. The beta test period will run for a couple of months, then we’ll gear up to start “real” production.
Maker Fair NYC
It’s official: we’re attending this year’s World Maker Faire! This event is September 21 and 22 around the New York Hall of Science in Queens. We’ll post more details as the event approaches, such as our exact location in the venue.
Local Press!
Last but certainly not least, we got a mention in the Triad Business Journal in an article they wrote about local investment in 3D printing. You can check out the intro to the article here, but the full text is behind a paywall.
