SET OF FOUR SMALL GEARS 3D PRINTED IN NYLON

COMMENTARY:

Many companies still operate quality machinery in their manufacturing and production operations that are old and for which it is difficult to find parts to repair and maintain.

One of the ‘killer apps’ for 3D printing, and the F410 in particular, is to print replacement parts our of quality, engineering grade materials to keep these machines running. We have a number of customers that maintain poultry processing, print shop and other production machinery by scanning old parts and printing replacements using their F410’s.

Here’s an example of small mechanical gears made out of a high strength nylon (Alloy 910) made by Taulman3D. Accurate in dimensions and quality, they make great replacement parts and allow many years of operation for machinery that otherwise would be shut down.
