ULTIMAKER S5 VS. FUSION3 EDGE
(UPDATED 3/12/2022)
In 2018, Netherlands-based Ultimaker announced its Ultimaker S5 3D printer to compete with Fusion3’s F410, targeting large companies. At the time the F410 had significant advantages over the S5.
With the introduction of the Fusion3 EDGE, you see how you can see how EDGE is a clear commercial, near industrial 3D printer compared to Ultimaker’s somewhat prosumer offering:
- A fully enclosed, heated print chamber with steel, unibody chassis (vs. metal frame and plastic enclosures).
- Much larger, passively heated, build chamber (up to 70*C) for printing high-strength materials than the Ultimaker S5.
- Unlike the Ultimaker S5, the F410 is designed, manufactured, and assembled in the USA.
- A 2 Year Warranty and Free Lifetime Support, provided by our own Technical Support team. Ultimaker only provides a 1-year warranty for 3D printers.
The capabilities and benefits provided by Fusion3’s EDGE make it a clear choice over the Ultimaker S5.
